The Adventures of Spoon & Fork

So....Lillian will turn ANYTHING into ANYTHING.

For example, if she needs a character from Thomas the Train that she doesn't have in her possession (either at the moment or she does not own it) she'll pick up a lego and decide who it is and continue playing. She'll pick up a piece of straw she found on the floor and call it "Lillian" and so on...

Yesterday after dinner, her fork was mommy, acted out by Lillian, and the spoon was Lillian, acted out by me. Follow so far? (yes, my brain hurts at the end of the day...)

So, I played Lillian, the spoon. I was instructed to ask if I could have a banana. So, the spoon asked the fork for a banana. The fork replied, "no you cannot, because we are going to church." The spoon replied "oh, may I have one after church?" The fork said "yes" and then they went around the bowl to church.

So, then Lillian, as mommy the fork, was "singing" but it just sounded like humming, I didn't think she was singing anything in particular. I was then instructed, by Lillian, "say, 'what are you singing?' " - so I did, er uh, the spoon asked the mommy fork "what are you singing"? The fork replied, "Yellow Submarine" and continued "we all live in a yellow submarine" (this time I understood the words, and I think now that she was in fact, singing that earlier too)...

Yep. Lillian thinks people sing "Yellow Submarine" in church. Hmmmmmmmm. Guess they really can't hear us very well downstairs in the nursery.
